Job summary

Kaftan Communities is seeking a Leasing Consultant in Michigan to guide prospective residents through the leasing process, show model units, and support retention efforts. You will help ensure the office is organized and your interactions create positive first impressions.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in leasing, sales, or customer service, a high school diploma (college degree is a plus), and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in leasing, sales or customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property software (Yardi a bonus).
• A valid driver’s license and current insurance.

Responsibilities

• Touring and leasing apartment homes to applicants.
• Managing inquiries, following up and generating leads with warmth and professionalism.
• Preparing accurate lease documents and maintaining organized resident files.
• Supporting community engagement and helping residents feel welcome.
• Collaborating with maintenance and office teams to uphold property standards.
• Driving occupancy and resident satisfaction by being attentive and proactive.
• Keeping up with Kaftan’s commitment to excellence.
