Overview

The Leasing Consultant is the property's sales representative, responsible for supporting leasing, retention, and occupancy goals. The role emphasizes customer service, providing current and prospective residents with an exceptional experience. The ideal candidate builds relationships, plans events, and is proactive and flexible to meet community needs.

Responsibilities

1. Greet prospective residents and present property features and benefits professionally.
2. Conduct business in accordance with policies, Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all applicable laws.
3. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
4. Create a professional and friendly atmosphere in the leasing center and related areas.
5. Inspect models and market-ready units to ensure quality appearance.
6. Relay incoming calls appropriately.
7. Understand local market trends and competition.
8. Complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
9. Maintain active guest cards until prospects choose their home.
10. Regularly inspect the property and report deficiencies.
11. Assist in preparing reports, resident communication, move-ins/outs, and market surveys.
12. Maintain current resident files per company policy.
13. Process leasing applications per guidelines.
14. Oversee lease renewal programs to maximize renewals.
15. Provide excellent customer service.
16. Plan and oversee resident activities with the Property Manager.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Prior leasing or property management experience preferred.
3. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Excellent attendance and customer service skills.
5. Ability to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and YARDI software preferred.
7. Positive attitude and professionalism.
8. Bi-lingual abilities may be required based on property needs.
9. Physical ability to walk, stand, use stairs, and conduct property tours in various weather conditions.
10. This is a roving role; willingness to travel among properties in Alpharetta, Atlanta, Sandy Springs, and Smyrna is required.
