Job summary

Westdale Asset Management in Waco is seeking a Leasing Consultant for our 116-unit apartment community. You will be the first contact for prospective residents, showing apartments, closing leases, and processing applications in compliance with fair housing laws.

This hourly non-exempt role includes monthly new lease and renewal bonuses in addition to base pay, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Weekend availability and a valid Texas driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of leasing consultant experience.
• Strong leasing and closing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Typing 30 WPM and organized.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Yardi.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors and residents.
• Answering and returning resident calls and email requests.
• Completing guest cards and lease paperwork accurately.
• Selling features and amenities to prospects.
• Showing apartments.
• Securing leases.

As Leasing Consultant, you make that important first connection with potential residents; you also make a difference in people’s lives by helping them find their perfect apartment home. In addition to greeting prospects, you will also show apartments, close sales, and process rental applications and leases in compliance with fair housing laws. Requirements

• At least 1 year of leasing consultantexperience.
• Good leasing and closing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to type 30 WPM and be organized.
• Computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Yardi or other similar programs.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Work Days: Monday – Sunday
Work Hours: Mon, Thurs, Fri 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; Tues 9:00 am - 1:00 pm; Sat 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; Sun 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Required License or Certification: Valid Texas Driver’s License.
