Job summary

DISTINCT MGT is seeking an experienced Leasing Consultant to manage all stages of the leasing process, from introducing properties to tenants to inspecting leased units. The goal is high occupancy and profitability for clients in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have property management experience and strong communication, negotiation, and sales abilities to effectively market vacancies and close leases.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proven working experience in property management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and sales skills.
• Experience with property management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advertise vacant properties.
• Show properties to prospective tenants and inform them of amenities.
• Qualify prospective tenants using background checks and references.
• Accept rental payments and provide receipts.
• Maintain knowledge of local market and housing trends.
• Negotiate leasing terms and close deals.
• Inspect properties regularly and schedule maintenance/repairs.
• Provide administrative support and other duties as assigned.

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for all aspects of the leasing process, from introducing properties to prospective tenants to periodic inspection of actively leased properties. • Qualify prospective tenants using background checks and references
• Accept rental payments and provide receipts
• Maintain deep knowledge of the local market and housing trends
• Negotiate leasing terms and close deals
• Inspect properties on a regular basis and schedule necessary maintenance/repairs
• Provide administrative support and other duties as assigned
