Summary

The Leasing Consultant conducts property tours, manages the leasing process with prospective residents, executes marketing strategies, plans resident events, and maintains positive resident relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interview prospective residents and record their needs and qualifications.
  • Guide prospects through model or vacant apartments, discussing layout, amenities, and lease terms.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects.
  • Process applications in compliance with policies.
  • Manage lease renewals as needed.
  • Schedule move-ins and complete all related paperwork.
  • Inspect units prior to move-in for readiness.
  • Follow up with new residents post-move-in.
  • Periodically inspect premises and coordinate maintenance.
  • Plan and coordinate resident events.
  • Handle resident requests and complaints courteously and efficiently.
  • Assist with marketing duties, including surveys and resident notices.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including safety and Fair Housing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • One year of leasing experience preferred.
  • Up to one year of related experience or training, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience with virtual and in-person tours preferred.
  • Knowledge of property management platforms (e.g., Yardi, Entrata, Yieldstar, CRM) preferred.
  • Marketing skills to execute property marketing plans via outside marketing, social media, and resident events.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required depending on the property.
Environmental and Physical Demands

This role involves constant walking, standing, and sitting, with frequent stair climbing and occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, squatting, pushing/pulling, and reaching. Lifting less than 10 lbs regularly and over 10 lbs occasionally may be required. Strong finger dexterity and sensory skills are essential. Work conditions include indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise levels. Exposure to chemicals, fumes, or pesticides may occur.
