Job summary

Lynd is seeking a Leasing Associate in the United States to handle inquiries, explain criteria, and guide prospects through tours and applications. You will collect documents, process leases, and assist with move‑ins while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.

You will also support marketing, resident retention, and renewal efforts, and help deliver excellent service to residents and applicants.

Qualifications

• One to three years of leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience.
• Experience with LIHTC, HOME, HUD, or affordable housing programs.
• Ability to explain detailed application requirements clearly and accurately.
• Strong sales, customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to inquiries by phone, email, web, or in person.
• Explain income restrictions, rental criteria, and requirements.
• Schedule and conduct property and apartment tours.
• Highlight property features, amenities, and value to prospects.
• Process applications, screening docs, leases, deposits, and move‑in paperwork.
• Collect income, asset, and eligibility documents.
• Assist with initial certifications, recertifications, and notices.
• Maintain accurate applicant, resident, waiting list, and compliance records.
• Follow up with prospects and convert qualified applicants into residents.
• Walk apartments before move‑in to verify readiness.
• Prepare resident files for audits and compliance reviews.
• Correct file deficiencies and provide requested documentation promptly.
• Support marketing, outreach, retention, and lease renewals.

What We're Looking For

• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three years of leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience.
• Experience with LIHTC, HOME, HUD, Project-Based Section 8, or another affordable housing program.
• Experience collecting eligibility documentation and maintaining resident files.
• Ability to explain detailed application requirements clearly and respectfully.
• Strong sales, customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet compliance deadlines.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• RealPage OneSite experience preferred.
• Ability to walk the property, conduct tours, and visually inspect apartments.
