About the leasing consultant position at Crown of Queen City
We’re looking for a talented & experienced leasing consultant responsible for coordinating activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. The leasing consultant interacts directly with prospective and current residents to maximize occupancy and ensure resident retention and satisfaction.
- Focus on the needs of others by listening, understanding, and showing empathy and respect.
- Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents, generating traffic, qualifying prospects, leasing apartments, and handling lease documentation.
- Ensure model apartments are in touring condition.
- Orient residents to the property, process renewal paperwork, and maintain detailed records of traffic activity.
- Follow up with prospects via phone, mail, or email, and convert calls into scheduled tours.
- Inspect apartments before move-ins, coordinate move-in/out needs with maintenance, and review move-in paperwork with residents.
- Complete weekly leasing reports accurately and on time.
- Assist with ongoing resident relations, shopping competitive properties, and ensuring safety and cleanliness.
- Support management with clerical tasks and assist in planning resident activities to improve retention.
- Comply with all policies, health and safety rules, and applicable laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum one year of sales experience required.
- One year of residential leasing experience preferred.
Skills And Requirements
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity, and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
