Job summary

Universitypartners is seeking a Leasing Consultant to interface with prospective residents, coordinate renewals, and manage daily leasing office operations. You will handle applications, conduct property tours, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires strong sales and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with Entrata and leasing materials in a fast-paced community setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or High School diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents, prospects, and visitors.
• Lease apartments in accordance with occupancy goals.
• Follow Fair Housing standards in all dealings with prospects and residents.
• Conduct outside marketing under supervision of Manager.
• Review applications including credit and income verifications and background checks.
• Complete lease paperwork and signatures.
• Ensure condition of leased apartments before move-in.
• Follow up for renewals and complete renewal documents.
• Operate leasing office tasks efficiently.
• Daily marketing inspection of model and leasing path.
• Answer calls, emails, and voicemails.
• Inspect signage and materials for quality.
• Maintain clubroom cleanliness and refresh supplies.
• Greet prospects and show apartments; assist verification.
• Maintain Guest Cards and leads; follow up promptly.
• Enter prospect information into Entrata; retrieve missing data.
• Process lease files and coordinate with management.
• Enter and track work orders with Maintenance; follow up.
• Complete renewal tasks as needed.
• Archive inactive leads; keep Entrata up to date.
• Conduct outside marketing and market audits.
• Stay informed about competitor rentals and specials.
• Assist with roommate matching and move-in communications.
• Coordinate move-in process and paperwork.
• Record gate codes and utility hookups; manage submetering.
