Job summary

The Inter-Faith Group is seeking a driven leasing associate to support the Lease-Up process for new constructions. You will assist with waitlists, leasing, outreach marketing, social media, and organizing resident and community events related to property leasing and marketing.

Applicants should be outgoing with a persuasive, sales-focused style, and possess strong organizational and computer skills. Flexible, customer-focused professionals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of leasing experience or related sales experience.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and familiar with apartment leasing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong customer service and sales abilities.
  • Driver’s license required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and qualify prospects.
  • Record telephone and in-person visits; maintain guest cards.
  • Inspect models and market-ready units; communicate needs to Property Manager.
  • Demonstrate features, close sales, and secure applications and deposits.
  • Update availability, process applications (credit, rental history), and follow up.
  • Orient new residents; monitor renewals and advertising effectiveness.
  • Gather market information and represent the company professionally.

Job description

Texas Inter-Faith Management/40i is a non-profit organization affiliated with The Inter-Faith Group (IFG), which is an alliance of seven independently operated non-profits that share a collective mission to create quality affordable housing and support services to families. Our team members are expected to embrace, exemplify and uphold our core values of Stewardship, Hard-working, Well-respected, Innovation, and Neighborly cooperation (SHWIN), in order to foster positive relationships both within the organization and with external stakeholders.

This position will work directly with the Expansion Manager and the Director of Expansion assisting in the Lease-Up process for new constructions, including tasks such as waitlist creation and maintenance, leasing, outreach marketing, social media management, and organizing resident/community events related to property leasing or marketing.

The successful candidate will be an outgoing, persuasive individual with a 'selling' communication style, who is comfortable meeting new people. This position requires a professional, organized, and detailed individual with excellent computer and communication skills.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Greet and qualify prospects.
  • Record all telephone and in-person visits.
  • File and maintain guest cards.
  • Inspect models and available “market ready.”
  • Communicate related service needs to the Property Manager.
  • Demonstrate community and apartment/model and apply product knowledge to client needs by communicating the features and benefits; close the sale.
  • Have prospects complete applications and secure a deposit.
  • Update availability report, and process applications for approvals. (i.e., credit check, rental history, etc.) Submit processed applications to the Community Manager for approval. Follow up with applicant regarding status.
  • Ensure the apartment is ready for the resident to move in on the agreed date.
  • Immediately follow up with prospects
  • Secure new resident signature(s) on appropriate paperwork prior to move-in.
  • Orient new residents to the community.
  • Assist in monitoring renewals.
  • Monitor advertising effectiveness.
  • Gather information about market competition in the area.
  • Always represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Process BOND paperwork for applicants and recertifications.

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

  • Minimum 1-2 years of leasing experience.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be familiar with apartment / multi-family leasing and Fair Housing.
  • Apartment software experience is a bonus.
  • Excellent customer service, strong sales, marketing, and data entry skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Driver’s license required.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
