Hayman Company in Metro Detroit is seeking a Leasing Agent for an apartment community. In this role you will engage prospects, tour communities, and guide applicants through the lease process.

You will leverage your sales and customer service experience to match resident needs with available homes, manage move-ins, and contribute to marketing efforts and social media for the community. Responsibilities

• Understand resident needs and match them to available apartments.
• Ensure curb appeal and tours are ready for prospecting.
• Follow up on internet and phone leads to set appointments.
• Tour prospects and close the deal.
• Process applications and prepare lease packages and renewals.
• Conduct move-in orientation and verify move-in requirements.
• Assist with marketing and social media for the community.

Responsibilities include:

• Gain an understanding of potential resident needs and provide information as to which of our apartments best fit those needs.
• Check curb appeal and apartments each morning to ensure we are ready to tour and demonstrate our product offerings to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Follow-up on prospect internet and phone leads to try to set appointments
• Tour and close the prospect
• Process applications, preparation of lease packages & renewals
• Conduct move-in orientation and ensure all move-in requirements are met to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Marketing and Social Media management for the community
• Great Salary PLUS Outstanding Commission Program

Qualifications:

• Previous sales and customer service experience is required; experience within the apartment industry is required
• Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and have a high level professionalism
• Ability to quickly develop rapport with prospective residents
• Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work well in a team setting
• Previous knowledge of Yardi property management software is preferred.
