Job description

Guardian Management is seeking a Full-Time Leasing Agent to join our team at Parkside Apartments! Parkside Apartments is an affordable community in Everett, WA with 202 units.

The primary responsibility of this position is to handle daily leasing activities and maintain positive relations with residents and prospects. This includes maintaining the appearance and upkeep of vacant units, coordinating cleaning and repairs with the Community Manager and Maintenance Staff, leasing in compliance with government programs, adhering to Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Laws, and completing all required paperwork and reports on time.

Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

The following are the minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or a related college degree.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with technology, internet, and computers, with a willingness to learn new programs.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Effective and timely communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to complete training within set deadlines and attend required sessions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong math skills.
  • Experience with social media management.
  • Knowledge of affordable housing processes (waitlists, tax credits, subsidies, etc.).

Essential Functions:

To perform successfully, individuals must be able to:

  • Represent Guardian professionally and positively.
  • Support the Community Manager in exceeding property management standards.
  • Comply with all applicable laws (Fair Housing, Landlord-Tenant, OSHA).
  • Greet prospects, conduct tours, and answer questions lawfully.
  • Record visits and manage guest cards.
  • Highlight community features and match prospects with suitable units.
  • Inspect units, coordinate repairs, and maintain show-ready conditions.
  • Monitor property and vacant units regularly.
  • Understand rent charges, lease issues, and tenant concerns.
  • Handle applications, deposits, and approvals per procedures and laws.
  • Update reports, process renewals, and communicate with residents.
  • Manage leasing activities, including billing, lease enforcement, and rent collection.
  • Maintain resident relations and handle inquiries professionally.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information.
  • Accurately record work hours and adhere to timekeeping policies.
  • Foster collaboration across departments and with colleagues.
  • Continuously seek process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
