Job summary

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least three years of related sales experience, and a State Real Estate License. Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook is essential for compliant, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

  • Leasing, real estate, or property management experience preferred.
  • Valid State Real Estate License required.

  • Ability to build relationships, organize tasks, and deliver top-notch customer service.

Overview

AMH is a leading single‑family rental and homebuilding company. The Leasing Agent is the primary sales representative, driving occupancy through consultative selling, relationship building, and lease conversion.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to and follow up on inquiries from prospective residents.
  • Engage potential tenants and present housing options to encourage applications.
  • Negotiate lease terms and explain lease documents to new tenants.
  • Perform leasing activities in compliance with applicable laws to maximize occupancy.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and leasing teams to navigate applicants through the leasing journey.
  • Stay informed about company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Compensation

Hourly pay range: $21.09 to $25.30.
