Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent is seeking a Leasing Agent in Irving, TX to act as the primary sales contact for prospective residents, driving occupancy through consultative selling and lease conversions. You will respond to inquiries, present housing options, and close leases while ensuring compliance with leasing laws and company policies.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 3+ years of sales or customer-facing experience, and a State Real Estate License.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of related sales or customer-facing sales experience is required.
• Leasing, real estate, or property management experience is preferred.
• A valid State Real Estate License is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
• Outstanding communication abilities and analytical skills are required.
• Ability to build relationships, organize tasks, and deliver top-notch customer service.
• Flexibility to work weekends is required.

The Leasing Agent serves as the company's primary sales representative for prospective residents, responsible for driving occupancy through consultative selling, relationship building and lease conversion.

Responsibilities

• Drive leasing performance by responding to and following up on inquiries from perspective residents.
• Engage with potential tenants, offering compelling insights into our housing options to encourage applications.
• Skillfully negotiate lease terms and provide thorough explanations of leases and related documents to new tenants.
• Perform leasing activities in accordance with applicable laws to maximize housing occupancy.
• Collaborate with underwriting and leasing teams to navigate applicants through the leasing journey.
• Stay informed about the company's policies and procedures to ensure compliance and up-to-date practices.

Compensation

The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $25.00 Hourly. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Additional Compensation

This position is eligible to receive monthly bonus payments.
