Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. in Houston, TX is seeking a Leasing Agent to serve as the company’s primary sales representative for prospective residents, driving occupancy through consultative selling and lease conversions.

You will respond to inquiries, present housing options, negotiate terms, and guide applicants through the leasing journey while ensuring compliance and top-notch customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three (3) years of related sales or customer-facing sales experience required.
• Leasing, real estate, or property management experience preferred.
• A valid State Real Estate License is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
• Outstanding communication abilities and analytical skills to solve problems effectively.
• Ability to build relationships, organize tasks, and deliver top-notch customer service.
• Flexibility to work weekends is required.
