Job summary

Charlotte Harbortown is seeking a motivated Leasing Agent to join our property management team in Rochester, NY. The role focuses on providing exceptional service to current and prospective residents and supporting the leasing process to maintain affordable housing compliance, including LIHTC programs.

The position offers full-time hours with a starting pay of $19.00 per hour plus bonus opportunities. Strong organization and customer service skills are essential to succeed in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Previous leasing or property management experience preferred.
  • Experience with LIHTC or affordable housing programs preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn property-management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to prospective and current residents.
  • Conduct property tours and explain apartment features, amenities, community policies, and leasing requirements.
  • Process rental applications and assist prospective residents throughout the leasing process.
  • Collect and review required applicant and resident documentation.
  • Assist with income and eligibility verification in accordance with affordable housing program requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate resident files and leasing documentation.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of property occupancy requirements and leasing procedures.
  • Follow LIHTC and applicable affordable housing regulations and company policies.
  • Communicate with applicants regarding missing documentation, application status, and next steps.
  • Assist with renewals, recertifications, notices, and other resident-related administrative duties as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate information in the property's property-management/leasing software.
  • Support marketing and outreach efforts to maintain strong occupancy.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and respond to questions or concerns professionally.
  • Work closely with the Property Manager and other team members to achieve property goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of applicant and resident information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About the Position

Charlotte Harbortown is seeking a motivated and customer-focusedLeasing Agent to join our property management team. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for providing exceptional service to current and prospective residents while supporting the leasing process and maintaining compliance with applicable affordable housing requirements.

Experience withLIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) or other affordable housing programs is highly valued.

Compensation

$19.00 per hour + bonus structure
