Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactiveRetail Multi-Unit Lease Administrator to oversee lease administration for a portfolio of 50+ retail properties across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all lease-related documentation, ensuring compliance with lease terms, tracking critical dates, coordinating lease renewals, and supporting real estate operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining landlord-tenant relationships and minimizing legal and financial risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, abstract, and maintain lease agreements, amendments, and related documents in the lease database.
  • Track and manage critical lease dates (e.g., expirations, renewals, rent increases, options, etc.).
  • Ensure rent payments, CAM (common area maintenance), taxes, and other charges are processed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with landlords and property managers on lease-related inquiries, disputes, and operational issues.
  • Work with legal, accounting, and real estate teams to resolve lease compliance matters.
  • Support lease negotiations, renewals, terminations, and store openings/closings.
  • Audit and verify landlord billings and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate lease records and documentation for all retail units.
  • Provide lease data reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting of lease obligations and occupancy costs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, lease terms, and regulatory requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in lease administration, preferably within retail or multi-unit environments.
  • Strong understanding of commercial lease terms, legal language, and real estate documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for landlord and cross-functional interactions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a multi-unit retail, restaurant, or franchise environment.
  • Familiarity with lease accounting standards (e.g., ASC 842).
  • Legal or paralegal background is a plus
