Job summary

Pennrose Management Company is seeking a Lease Up Specialist to lead the initial lease-up of new properties, coordinating with onsite teams to hit occupancy targets while ensuring compliant and accurate applicant files.

You will collaborate with Compliance and Yardi to set up resident and first-year tax credit files, interact with Marketing, Development and IT to communicate status, and mentor staff through Pennrose Academy. Reports to Regional Transition Manager.

Qualifications

• Four years of increasing property management responsibilities preferred.
• Knowledge of affordable and market-rate housing; lease up experience a plus.
• Requires a valid driver’s license, an insured vehicle, and ability to travel between properties.
• Industry training credentials authenticating understanding of rental housing programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lease up process for assigned developments to achieve rent and occupancy goals.
• Process and upload complete files for compliance review with minimal corrections.
• Report progress with detailed status of files and application volume; keep tracking database current.
• Advise the lease up team about concerns due to activity, partner challenges or low activity.
• Market the property to high standards and convert traffic/waitlists to residency while respecting Fair Housing.
