Reporting to the Vice President of Land, this role is responsible for analyzing, administering, and maintaining oil and gas leases and other land agreements across EQV's upstream portfolio. The Lease Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring lease obligations are met, land records are accurate and audit-ready, and land data supports operations, revenue distribution, and acquisition activities. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role with meaningful exposure to the full life cycle of upstream land administration.**Key Responsibilities****Lease Analysis & Setup*** Analyze, interpret, and organize oil and gas leases, contracts, assignments, and other title documents to summarize EQV's ownership, obligations, and key dates* Set up new leases and other land agreements in the company land management system, associating each agreement with its appropriate well and unit relationships* Perform quality control on land data and records to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the portfolio* Maintain physical and electronic land records in accordance with company retention and audit standards**Obligation Tracking & Payments*** Track and process lease obligations, including delay rentals, shut-in payments, minimum royalties, extension bonuses, and other recurring payments* Monitor lease expirations, held-by-production status, continuous drilling obligations, and other critical dates; escalate potential issues to the Vice President of Land in advance of key deadlines* Process and record lease amendments, extensions, ratifications, and other post-execution documents* Coordinate with Accounts Payable and Revenue Accounting on land-related payments and reconciliations**Coordination & Support*** Coordinate with landmen and external vendors on lease and title matters* Support the Vice President of Land and Division Order Analyst with title curative, owner correspondence and other land administrative activities* Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding lease status, obligations, and terms with professionalism, accuracy, and timely follow-up* Provide land support to Operations and other cross-functional teams as needed**Acquisitions & Portfolio Integration*** Support land diligence on acquisitions and divestitures, including lease, well, and agreement inventories* Set up newly acquired leases and land agreements in EQV's land management system following acquisition close* Assist with the standardization of legacy land data to align with EQV's data and records standards* Support ad hoc land projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned## Qualifications**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Petroleum Land Management, Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)* 3+ years of upstream oil and gas lease analyst, land analyst, or land administration experience* Strong knowledge of oil and gas lease terms, conveyances, assignments, and related title documents* Experience with land management software such as Quorum, PakLand, or LandVantage* Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of records* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to quickly learn new systems* Strong written and verbal communication skills**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience at a mid-size or large upstream oil and gas operator* AAPL Registered Landman (RL) or Registered Professional Landman (RPL) certification* Experience supporting acquisition integrations and abstracting legacy lease portfolios* Multi-basin experience, particularly in the Permian, Haynesville and other U.S. Lower 48 basins* Familiarity with lease payment obligations and royalty terms**What You'll Bring**The right candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver who takes pride in clean, accurate records.
