Job summary

Inspire Brands is seeking a Manager of Lease Accounting to lead the team responsible for accounting, reporting, payments, and billing of lease transactions across the real estate portfolio. Based in Atlanta, this role oversees monthly closes, rent accounting, CAM, taxes, and percentage rent calculations under ASC 842 and SOX guidelines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in lease/real estate accounting, a Bachelors in Accounting or Finance, and CPA preference.

Qualifications

4-Year degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience with lease/real estate exposure.
Strong knowledge of ASC 842 and U.S. GAAP.
Experience leading teams and managing accounting operations.

Responsibilities

Lead lease accounting operations, including accounting, reporting, payments and billings.
Manage month-end and quarter-end close activities with journal entries and reconciliations.
Review lease-related accounts: fixed rent, variable rent, CAM, taxes, and liabilities.
Provide guidance on lease classifications, modifications, and terminations under ASC 842.
Partner with IT and Lease Administration to ensure data integration across systems.
Maintain SOX controls and drive process improvements and automation.
