DoorDash is seeking a Lease Accounting Manager to act as a technical ASC 842 expert, ensuring accurate lease accounting as the business grows. You will own lease reporting, coordinate with Real Estate and Lease Administration, and lead monthly close with journal entries and disclosures.

The role requires ownership, proactive problem solving, and strong ability to partner with cross-functional teams to deliver well-supported conclusions on time.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 6+ years accounting experience with deep US GAAP lease accounting (ASC 842).
• Experience reviewing lease agreements, interpreting terms and assessing financial implications for accounting treatment.
• Ownership mindset with ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet close timelines.
• Strong cross-functional partnership and communication skills with internal and external partners.
• High attention to detail and solid problem-solving abilities.

Aufgaben

• Review lease abstractions against new lease agreements and modifications for ASC 842 classification and recognition.
• Perform detailed accounting analysis of complex lease arrangements and document conclusions.
• Execute lease monthly close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Own lease financial reporting deliverables, including cash flows, rollforwards, and disclosures.
• Partner with Real Estate, Lease Administration and cross-functional teams to understand lease activity early and ensure accurate accounting.
• Identify and lead process improvements and automation to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
• Maintain lease SOX controls and support internal and external audits.
