Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to join our finance team, focusing on ASC 842 lease accounting and end-to-end process improvement. This role supports internal and external reporting, including SOX compliance, with opportunities for growth within a dynamic, remote-friendly environment.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least one year of general ledger experience, with prefered ASC 842 knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting; 1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end understanding of lease accounting processes, stakeholders, systems, and internal controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses requested by leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC, and PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
