The Learning Technology Analyst serves as the primary owner and administrator of the organization's learning technology ecosystem. This role is responsible for the administration, optimization, and support of the Absorb Learning Management System (LMS), digital learning technologies, learning analytics, reporting, and business intelligence solutions.
The Learning Technology Analyst ensures a seamless learner experience, maintains the integrity and effectiveness of learning systems, develops actionable dashboards and reports, and provides technical expertise for digital learning solutions. This role combines system administration, data analytics, learner experience design, technical troubleshooting, and AI-enabled insights to support organizational learning and performance objectives.
The position includes but is not limited to the key responsibilities below:
- Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the LMS platform.
- Manage system configuration, user access, permissions, learning paths, certifications, and course catalogs.
- Maintain data integrity, reporting accuracy, and compliance records.
- Oversee LMS enhancements, testing, updates, and vendor support.
- Support system integrations and technology-related initiatives.
- Monitor platform performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Publish, test, deploy, and maintain digital learning content created in Articulate Rise 360 and other learning design platforms.
- Conduct quality assurance and validation of SCORM/xAPI content.
- Optimize LMS navigation, learner communications, catalogs, and learning pathways to improve engagement and usability.
- Create user guides, support resources, and training materials for learners and stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
- Analyze learning data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and business insights.
- Monitor key metrics including training completion, compliance, engagement, certifications, and learning effectiveness.
- Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for leaders and stakeholders.
- Leverage AI tools such as Claude.ai and Microsoft Copilot to enhance reporting, analysis, and insight generation.
Technical Support, Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for learning technology issues.
- Troubleshoot LMS functionality, learner access, course tracking, SCORM/xAPI reporting, and device compatibility issues.
- Partner with IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve system and content challenges.
- Maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for learning technologies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance the learner experience, operational efficiency, and business impact.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information & Systems, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience administering learning technologies, managing LMS platforms (preferably Absorb LMS), and developing learning analytics and reporting solutions in multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, retail, or operational environments.
- Experience working with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 350 suite, Captivate, Camtasia).
- Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, and learning technologies.
- Experience creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
- Technical savviness, with proficiency with intermediate Excel and standard Microsoft Office 365 tools.
- Experience with Claude.ai, Microsoft Copilot, or other AI tools.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required. Proficient in English & Spanish grammar, spelling, punctuation, and other written skills.
- Preferred Knowledge of APIs, SSO, and LMS integrations.
