Phoenix Union High School District 210 is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support CTE classrooms. You will assist with daily instructional activities, prepare materials, monitor student progress, and provide targeted tutoring and small-group instruction under the direction of the CTE teacher.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and some classroom experience. ESL knowledge is a plus, and you will collaborate with staff to maintain a positive learning environment.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED equivalent; AND some previous classroom experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provides support services required in implementing the instructional plan as prescribed by the CTE teacher or Instructional Leader.
• Monitors students during lessons and reviews/grades homework and classwork.
• Researches information for curriculum and prepares lessons under teacher direction.
• Assists teachers with classroom discipline and re-focusing students as needed.
• Helps students with individual assignments and small-group tutoring.
• Assists teachers with preparing materials and ensuring supplies are available.
• Participates in test administration and maintains student folders/records; reports progress.
• Completes daily/weekly CTE classroom documents required by the state.
• Attends required meetings.
• Maintains professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
