Gila Crossing Community School is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support lead teachers by preparing learning materials, supervising students, and providing targeted academic help. The role is designed to assist in building effective instructional moments within a busy classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus additional education or paraprofessional credentials.

Qualifications

• English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work with detail and demonstrate patience in learning.
• Health and physical ability to perform job duties.

Responsabilités

• Tutor individual students or small groups to reinforce core lessons.
• Prepare learning materials and set up equipment as needed.
• Monitor students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and playgrounds.
• Help enforce classroom rules and encourage positive behavior.
• Take attendance, grade assignments, and organize student paperwork.
• Assist with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students when applicable.
• Discuss student progress and daily lesson plans with lead teachers.
