Job summary

Oklahoma City Public Schools seeks a Paraprofessional to support instructional activities within assigned classrooms and provide clerical assistance to teachers and staff. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with additional credentials, OSDE paraprofessional credential, and basic office skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and one of the following.
• Must obtain OSDE Paraprofessional Credential ($10 fee).
• Operates standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities and materials to support goals.
• Administers classroom assignments to support teachers.
• Assists students individually or in small groups with lesson tasks
• Communicates with teachers to evaluate progress and objectives.
• Maintains classroom equipment, work area, and records for safety and mandated requirements.
• Monitors students in various settings to provide a safe learning environment.
• Performs general clerical tasks to prepare instructional materials.
• Reports observations and incidents to instructional/administrative staff.
• Supports continuity of services; flexible in case of health crises or school closures.
