Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• License or certification not required prior to start date.
• All Commonwealth charter teachers must pass MTEL(s) within their first year of employment.
• Two years' teaching experience in an urban public or charter school setting is preferred.
• Desirable to have language skills (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic) aligning with student communities.

Responsibilities

• Teach High School Math.
• Collaborate with department members on curriculum refinement and implementation.
• Design and implement rigorous assessments that evaluate student mastery of academic standards.
• Create a safe learning environment by applying Excel's strategies consistently.
• Provide coverage as needed during non-instructional time.
• Be a productive member of the Excel Academy community; uphold the school's mission.
• Contribute to meeting the needs of a diverse student population.
