Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, or related field, or a minimum of four years as a Learning Specialist or similar role in higher education environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong collaboration, team building, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to track students, manage appointments, relate to faculty, staff, and students, and respond to their needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AI prompt designing to support student academic success materials.
• Outstanding organization and time management skills for managing a large workload.
• Work well independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work within general guidelines established by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student performance and maintain up-to-date electronic files for students utilizing academic support services.
• Identify barriers to academic performance and develop strategies to overcome them.
• Develop individualized learning plans (ILP) to improve learning, study planning, and retention.
• Review performance and adjust ILPs as needed.
• Develop and identify student resources and recommendations for additional support.
• Create advising and academic support materials.
• Collaborate with course directors to provide optimal academic support.
• Connect students to campus resources.
• Deliver workshops to improve time management and organizational skills.
