Job summary

Schwab Learning Center in Palo Alto seeks an SLC Learning Specialist to develop, implement, and monitor interventions for middle and high school students with learning differences. The role requires collaboration with clinicians, data-driven strategies, and strong confidentiality practices.

The position is fee-for-service with hourly rates and may require evening hours; in-person work in Palo Alto is preferred.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in Special Education, Learning Sciences or related field and working with learners with differences.
• Experience with assessments and cognitive testing for learning differences and ADHD.
• Ability to customize interventions based on data from testing and observations.
• Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning and e-portfolios preferred.
• Strong communication with students, families, and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze student strengths and challenges and develop interventions across multiple domains.
• Maintain student confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all communications.
• Fulfill reporting requirements and manage program metrics.
• Provide direct advice to students and families on academics, accessibility, and executive functioning.
• Collaborate with CHC Clinical Services and administrative teams.
• Deliver workshops for students and parents as needed.
• Manage caseload and participate in program development and meetings.
