Job summary

CHC in Palo Alto seeks a SLC Learning Specialist to develop, implement, and monitor interventions for students with learning differences. The role requires evaluating needs, coordinating with families, and maintaining confidentiality.

Evening and in-person work are required, with a fee-for-service structure. The position offers compensation at $70.00/hour for direct time and $50.00/hour for admin time, with a focus on supporting middle and high school students through individualized strategies

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education, Learning Sciences, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience with middle school/teen/young adult students with learning differences and ADHD.
• Experience administering and interpreting educational measures and cognitive testing.
• Experience collecting and analyzing data to develop learning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze student strengths and challenges and develop interventions.
• Maintain student confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Fulfill reporting requirements for the Center’s metrics.
• Communicate with students and parents in a timely, professional manner.
• Provide recommendations on technology resources and learning strategies.
• Advise students and parents on academic support, accessibility, and executive functioning.
