Job summary

College Advising Prep Inc. seeks credentialed and/or experienced Math and ELA teachers to join our team serving K-8 students.

The position is part-time (approximately 10-20 hours/week), with a Monday–Friday schedule from 3–7pm, blending in-person instruction at our Los Altos office with occasional online sessions. Ideal candidates have at least two years of K-8 teaching experience, a BA/BS in a relevant field (masters preferred), and CA teaching or Child Development Permit or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of experience teaching Math or ELA for grades K-8.
• California Teaching or Child Development Permit, demonstrated eligibility to obtain a permit (desired), or prior experience with school-aged students.
• Strong passion for Math or ELA, engaging with K-8 students, and a good sense of humor.
• Create fun yet engaging curriculum and provide developmentally appropriate activities.

Responsibilities

• Create curriculum and lesson plans that meet the needs of the students.
• Teach engaging, rigorous, and relevant lessons daily.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and the founder.
• Be open to constructive criticism and feedback on teaching methodologies.
• Assume a high level of personal responsibility for the students and their progress.
• Respond to the needs of the families and students.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities for the age group.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
