Job summary

Children's Health Council is seeking a Learning Specialist on a fee-for-service basis in Palo Alto. The role develops and monitors interventions for students with learning differences, ADHD, and executive function needs, reporting to the Senior Learning Specialist.

The position offers hourly pay of $50–$70 and requires evening hours and in-person work in Palo Alto, with hybrid flexibility.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in Special Education, Learning Sciences, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience with middle school/teen students with learning differences and attention challenges.
• Experience administering/interpreting educational measures and cognitive testing.
• Experience collecting and analyzing data for learning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze student strengths and challenges and develop interventions.
• Maintain student confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Fulfill reporting requirements for CHC metrics.
• Communicate with students and parents professionally.
• Evaluate and recommend technology resources and executive function supports.
• Provide guidance on academic support and workplace demands to students and parents.
• Consult with parents, teachers, and support staff to enhance student success.
• Follow CHC processes to safeguard confidentiality.
• Administer standardized assessments and summarize results.
• Collaborate with CHC clinical and administrative teams.
• Design and deliver relevant workshops for students and parents.
