Job summary

val's services in Texas is seeking compassionate Learning Mentors to support pupils with autism and SEND needs in a structured, nurturing environment.

You will deliver personalised support, prepare resources, and work closely with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to implement a therapeutic, pupil-centered approach that promotes communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.

Job description

Role Overview

You will help students access learning, build confidence, and develop independence within a structured, nurturing environment. Your responsibilities include delivering personalised support, preparing resources, assisting with activities, and working collaboratively with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to implement a therapeutic, pupil-centered approach. You will support communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and behaviour while encouraging engagement and wellbeing. Maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and providing feedback to staff are essential aspects of the role.
