Program Leadership

Position Summary: The Learning Management Systems (LMS) Coordinator supports enterprise-wide learning and training initiatives across a large, dynamic healthcare institution, including Epic EHR Systems. This role acts as a key liaison between Epic EHR (Electronic Health Records), IS&T (Information Services & Technology), Instructional Designers, and Human Resources to maintain and enhance the learning experience through our LMS.

The Coordinator is responsible for creating, SCORM packaging, publishing, and maintaining digital learning content—such as eLearnings, EUPAs (electronic User Proficiency Assessments), and specialized role-based training. They will also ensure that course catalog content remains current, structured, and compliant with organizational standards.

Other duties include working closely with vendor training companies and supporting the Epic Training Scheduler with the assignment of eLearnings and classes via the SNOW ticketing system.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with EHR, IS&T, and HR teams to deploy and manage learning programs across clinical, academic, and administrative areas.
  2. Create, edit, and manage high-quality digital training materials using Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, and other multimedia tools.
  3. Package and publish eLearning content from Epic User Web and internal sources using SCORM-compliant formats for LMS integration.
  4. Maintain and update course catalog entries in the LMS, ensuring consistent naming conventions, tagging, and version control.
  5. Provide end-user support for LMS access, course enrollment, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  6. Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure proper functionality of all eLearning modules before release.
  7. Assist in developing and archiving multimedia resources, training videos, and interactive assessments.
  8. Work with instructional designers to support converting instructor-led training into engaging online formats.
  9. Monitor LMS usage and generate reports for compliance tracking and analytics.
  10. Support LMS and Epic upgrades, testing, and enhancements in coordination with technical teams.
  11. Work consistently with staff and colleagues using EHR User Web and terminology.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology, Education, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. At least 2 years of experience in LMS coordination, preferably in a large healthcare or academic setting.
  3. Knowledge of Epic systems and healthcare training workflows is a strong plus.
  4. Proficiency in Adobe Captivate and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  5. Familiarity with SCORM standards, eLearning authoring tools, and LMS platforms such as Workday, HealthStream, or similar.
  6. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and time management.
  7. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
