Job summary

TEKsystems is looking for a Learning & Development Training Effectiveness Analyst to support enterprise-wide training initiatives for a large utility organization. The role emphasizes training effectiveness, program evaluation, data analysis, and reporting, partnering with L&D leaders, SMEs, HR, and stakeholders to translate data into actionable recommendations.

The position is primarily remote, with occasional onsite meetings in Irwindale, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5+ years of Learning & Development or training experience.
• Experience measuring training effectiveness and program outcomes.
• Experience developing training evaluation plans and methodologies.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Experience designing surveys, questionnaires, or assessments.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, data tables, data filtering, large data sets, charts and visualizations.
• Experience creating presentations in PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience presenting findings to business stakeholders.
• Ability to independently analyze data and provide actionable recommendations.

Pay: $30-$36/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Hours: 40 hours/week

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Training Effectiveness Analyst to support enterprise-wide training initiatives for a large utility organization.

This role focuses on training effectiveness, program evaluation, data analysis, and reporting. You will partner with L&D leaders, subject matter experts, HR, and business stakeholders to measure training outcomes, identify trends and improvement opportunities, and translate data into actionable recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree
• 3-5+ years of Learning & Development or training experience
• Experience measuring training effectiveness and program outcomes
• Experience developing training evaluation plans and methodologies
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills
• Experience designing surveys, questionnaires, or assessments
• Strong Excel skills, including:
  • Pivot tables
  • Formulas
  • Data tables
  • Data filtering
  • Analysis of large datasets
  • Charts and data visualization
• Experience creating presentations in PowerPoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience presenting findings to business stakeholders
• Ability to independently analyze data and provide actionable recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Kirkpatrick Model or comparable training evaluation methodology
• Power BI dashboard development experience
• Experience with Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer, or similar survey platforms
• Experience with SuccessFactors Learning or another Learning Management System
• Instructional design or training program management experience

Specific survey platform experience is less important than a strong understanding of survey design and evaluation principles.

Important: This position requires Learning & Development or training experience. Candidates with only general business analysis or data analysis experience and no L&D/training experience may not be the right fit for this opportunity.

Work Environment

This is a primarily remote position. Candidates must reside in the Greater Southern California area and be available for occasional onsite meetings in Irwindale, CA.

Candidates must be comfortable using their own device to access the organizations secure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment.

Compensation

$30-$36/hour

Utility industry experience is not required. Relevant Learning & Development and training evaluation experience from other industries will be considered.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irwindale, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
