Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. in Santa Teresa, NM is seeking a Training Specialist to help design, coordinate, and deliver learning initiatives across the organization. This newly created role reports to the Training Manager and aims to strengthen programs that promote operational excellence and business growth.

You will partner with SMEs to develop engaging training materials, manage the LMS, and coordinate deliveries through classroom, OJT, videos, and vendor-led sessions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a metal service center or manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Experience with e-learning platforms or training technologies.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assess training needs and help prioritize learning initiatives across the organization.
• Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop engaging training programs and materials.
• Coordinate and deliver training through classroom instruction, on-the-job training (OJT), videos, and vendor-led sessions.
• Support the development and execution of annual training plans.
• Manage training schedules, logistics, records, and reporting.
• Maintain training curricula and learning content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Provide support to LMS users and troubleshoot training-related questions.
• Promote training opportunities and communicate schedules to employees and leaders.
• Collect participant feedback and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Support training documentation, system administration, and budget tracking activities.
