Job summary

HeadQuarters, a global startup supporting US cannabis companies, seeks a Learning and Development professional reporting to the HR Manager. You will own how people learn and grow, working with HR and team leads, with AI shaping our learning strategy.

You will design and run programs for individual contributors and managers, deliver sessions live and remote, build learning paths, and improve onboarding across countries. This is a remote-friendly role with international teams.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in Learning and Development or training and delivering programs.
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups and running sessions.
• Professional English at C1/C2 level.

About HQ

HeadQuarters is a global start-up that supports US cannabis companies. We focus on finance, accounting, sales operations, recruitment, marketing, and logistics.

With teams in Mexico, Serbia, US, Colombia and the Philippines. We have grown from 55 to over 130 people in two years, and we build the structure as we go.

About the role

This is a Learning and Development role with a people-partnering side, reporting directly to the HR Manager.

You will own how people at HQ learn and grow, working closely with the HR team and with team leads. AI is a big part of where we are heading as a company, and you will help us get there, both inside HR and in what we teach the rest of the teams.

You will be building development for a professional team spread across Mexico, Serbia, and the US.

What you will own:

Learning and Development

• Design and run training programs for individual contributors and managers
• Deliver the sessions yourself, live and remote, to groups of 5 to 30 people
• Build learning paths tied to our leveling framework
• Turn what our top performers already do into content the rest of the company can use

Onboarding

• Own the onboarding experience end to end, from offer to day 90
• Run onboarding sessions for new joiners across countries
• Keep improving it based on what new people actually tell us

People partnering

• Run our 30, 60, 90, and 180-day check-ins.
• Partner with team leads on development plans
• Support the performance review cycle twice a year

How we expect you to work

• Automate the parts of this that should not be done by hand
• Build the reporting that tells us whether any of it is working

Must have

• At least 3 years in Learning and Development or training, building and delivering programs, not only coordinating them
• Comfortable speaking in front of a group. A large part of this job is standing up and running a room
• Professional English C1/C2 Level

Nice to have

• Experience working with LMS platforms
• Experience partnering with teams
• Experience in a company that grew fast and built its people function along the way
• Exposure to performance review cycles, leveling, or compensation structures
• You already use AI tools to make your own work faster
