Job summary

Union Bank of VT & NH is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to coordinate, deliver, track, and improve training across the Bank. You will partner with department leaders, mentors, and subject matter experts to ensure onboarding, regulatory training, and professional development.

The role may require travel to branch locations for on-site training. The Bank offers strong benefits, tuition support, and opportunities for internal promotion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year in banking, training, coaching, mentoring, or related experience.
• Some travel to branch locations for on-site training and support.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.
• Teller or deposit account opening experience; experience delivering training programs.
• Experience maintaining training records or learning management systems.
• Knowledge of banking regulations, operations, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, deliver, track, and continuously improve training programs across the Bank.
• Partner with department leaders, mentors, and SMEs to ensure effective onboarding and development.
• Support regulatory training requirements and learning records maintenance.
• Facilitate learning programs and assist with employee development initiatives.
• Travel to branch locations to provide on-site training and support.

Learning & Development Specialist

The Learning & Development Specialist supports employee success by coordinating, delivering, tracking, and continuously improving training and development programs across the Bank. This position partners with department leaders, mentors, and subject matter experts to ensure employees receive effective onboarding, operational, compliance, and professional development training.

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for maintaining learning records, supporting regulatory training requirements, developing training resources, facilitating learning programs, and assisting with employee development initiatives that promote organizational effectiveness and exceptional customer service.

Some travel to branch locations will be required to provide on-site training and support.

Salary Description

Salary: $21.00 to $24.00
