Job description

Location: Position may be located in banking locations in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, New Mexico, or Utah.

Overview

As a Learning Specialist I, you will consult with and support clients across the enterprise by conducting needs assessments, designing and partnering with subject matter experts to create training programs and learning resources, delivering trainings, evaluating learning effectiveness, and providing ongoing training support.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct needs assessments.
  • Design, develop, and deliver instructor‑led programs, computer‑based training, blended learning, and course materials.
  • Create job aids and other learning resources.
  • Deliver and facilitate trainings.
  • Evaluate training and learner effectiveness (levels 1–4).
  • Co‑coach on‑the‑job training.
  • Manage course registration and communicate training information.
  • Report training results and support training systems.
  • Build rapport with clients and associates, treating others with respect.
  • Maintain current knowledge and compliance with bank regulations and policies, including BSA and OFAC.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years banking or related job experience.
  • Valid driver’s license (not a learner’s or restricted license) and driving history meeting Bank’s driver standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree.
  • Prior training experience.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of banking or relevant job experience.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Motivation to learn and expand own skills and capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and authoring tools.
  • Ability to learn, understand, develop, and deliver a variety of technical and business training programs.
  • Dependable, professional appearance and attitude, modeling company values at all times.
  • Demonstrated training delivery skills across multiple platforms.
  • Effectiveness in partnering with management teams.
  • Prioritization and management of multiple projects.
  • High energy, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Interpersonal and presentation skills with a friendly, cheerful, courteous demeanor.
Work Environment

  • Physical demands may include lifting and standing for extended periods (≤ 8 hours).
  • Rapid pace work environment; overtime as needed.
  • Travel may be required to deliver training.
