Job summary

Cobnks is seeking a Learning Specialist I to support clients across the enterprise by conducting needs assessments and designing training resources. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a background in banking.

Job description

Learning and Development - Learning Specialist I
Responsibilities

As a Learning Specialist I, you will consult with and support clients across the enterprise by conducting needs assessments, providing resources to meet those requirements, and supporting client’s subject matter experts (SMEs). You will design, develop, and partner with SMEs to create training programs and learning resources, including instructor‑led programs, computer‑based training, blended learning, course materials, job aids, and deliver and facilitate trainings. You will evaluate training and learner effectiveness, coach on‑the‑job training, handle course registration, communicate information about training courses and team offerings, report training results, provide support and back‑up for training courses and systems, and build a great rapport with clients and fellow associates.

All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and compliance with bank regulations and policies, including BSA and OFAC requirements.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 1–2 years banking or related job experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving history meeting the Bank’s driver standards; driving may be required for this position
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior training experience
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of banking or relevant job experience
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability and motivation to learn and expand own skills and capabilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and authoring tools
  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver technical and business skills training programs across multiple platforms
  • Highly dependable, professional appearance, and embodiment of company values
  • Demonstrated training delivery skills in multiple platforms
  • Works effectively with management teams and is recognized as an effective partner
  • Highly energetic, self‑motivated, and capable of working independently
  • Interpersonal and presentation skills needed to train with a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor
