Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Senior Learning, Development & Skills Facilitator to drive high‑quality learning and capability across the group. You will design, develop and deliver programs aligned with national requirements and workforce needs, using digital solutions to engage diverse learners.
You will lead evaluation, share expertise, and support ongoing learning post-course, ensuring quality and continuous improvement across five hospital sites and beyond.

You will use learning needs information, workforce intelligence, feedback and evaluation to translate priorities into effective learning and capability solutions. Your work could include designing and facilitating Group-wide development programmes, supporting national learning requirements, developing digital and on-demand resources, improving mandatory learning performance, supporting learning pathways and evaluating impact. You will be a confident facilitator, able to engage different audiences and adapt your approach to their needs. You will help us move beyond a predominantly course-led approach towards a broader workforce capability model, making effective use of digital, virtual and facilitated learning, workplace development and coaching. As a senior practitioner, you will share expertise, support colleagues, contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement, and role model high standards of learning design and delivery., To design where appropriate and deliver Group soft skills learning interventions maximising digital solutions. To support the socialisation of the learning and development offer across the Group To peer review training programmes across the team to ensure that service is quality driven and act as a point of contact with the learner. To lead on evaluating programmes and courses delivered; both on the day and and post course. To support on-going learning post course, through development and dissemination of post course reading materials and resources. To support the ongoing updates to mandatory training e-learning courses as required. Formulate and implement plans in relation to the design, delivery and evaluation of training, which take into account conflicting priorities and include plans to address any areas of concern. To work closely with subject matter experts, professional development leads, LDS facilitators and the Lead LDS to ensure that mandatory learning needs are identified for all staff groups and that the mandatory training needs analysis is up to date Support delivery of the People Effectiveness plan, tracking required activity against expected timescales, report project slippage promptly, and identify required actions Contribute to the design, analysis, publication and presentation of relevant initiatives and materials. Prepare reports, and updates for relevant groups and committees as required
