Learning & Development Program Manage r

We are searching for a Learning & Development Program Manager to be a strategic partner and hands-on practitioner responsible for designing, delivering, and driving adoption of impactful training programs across the Merry Maids network. In this role you will blend instructional design expertise, facilitation skills, and change management leadership to support both evergreen and initiative-based learning needs, including new owner onboarding, role-specific development, and the implementation of new business processes.

The Program Manager collaborates closely with brand leaders and subject matter experts to build engaging, data-informed learning experiences that foster behavior change, improve performance, and align with organizational goals. This individual also contributes to broader engagement strategies through regional events, annual conferences, and network training councils—positioning training as a core driver of growth and innovation.

What You Will Do

  • In partnership with brand and business leaders, design, develop, and continuously improve evergreen role-based training programs (e.g., new owner, manager, front-line staff) as well as initiative-based programs for new business processes.
  • Review, update, and maintain training materials and job aids, including SOPs, the Operations Manual, and other supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Deliver engaging, scalable training content across multiple formats—self-paced eLearning, instructor-led training, virtual classrooms, and blended learning models.
  • Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions, including webinars, onboarding, workshops, and continuing education for the Merry Maids network.
  • Lead “Train the Trainer” initiatives to deploy training through local teams effectively.
  • Serve as an advisor on change management to support behavior change and increase adoption of new processes and training tools.
  • Track, measure, and report on training adoption, attendance, utilization, and effectiveness, using engagement data and performance metrics to inform improvements.
  • Drive and support the use of training resources by identifying and removing adoption barriers, marketing new programs, collecting feedback, and sharing success stories.
  • Collaborate on the design and facilitation of regional and annual conference training frameworks and content to drive engagement and behavior change (e.g., supporting network content submission for local websites).
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support or eventually lead the Training Council (currently managed by Melissa), including its monthly commitments.
  • Continuously research and implement innovative tools, gamification strategies, and training apps to enhance engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Champion a culture of learning and continuous improvement across the organization.

What You Will Bring

  • Proven experience designing structured learning plans and training programs with measurable outcomes drawing from strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, gamification, and blended learning.
  • Excellent facilitation skills for both in-person and virtual audiences, with the ability to adapt delivery to different learning styles.
  • Skilled in change management and able to serve as a trusted advisor to guide adoption and behavior change through strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and fostering collaboration.
  • Data-driven mindset; able to analyze performance and adoption metrics to demonstrate training impact.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience owning the creation of large-scale learning and development projects through all phases including scoping/assessment, design, implementation, and impact measurement across multiple modalities for a large organization.
  • Experience with building and facilitating in-person and live learning events that drive measurable behavior change.
  • Strong preference of experience in the franchise or retail industry and/or deep understanding of small business ownership concepts.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Captivate, and Articulate 360 (including Storyline and Rise).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, with heavier travel during onboarding and early employment. Includes visits to Memphis, regional locations, and training sites.
