Job summary

Lehigh County Authority (LCA) is creating its first dedicated Learning & Development Coordinator role, on site in Allentown, PA, to unify training, onboarding, and compliance tracking. You’ll serve as the internal learning resource, helping leaders identify training needs and build a more structured learning approach across LCA.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in training and development, learning administration, or workforce development.
• Tech savvy with MS Office and LMS/HRIS platforms.
• Hands-on experience coordinating training programs, certifications, or development for employees.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills with strong organization and attention to detail.
• Experience in utilities, public works, manufacturing, safety training, or regulated environments is desirable.
• Certifications such as CPR/First Aid, SHRM/HRCI, CLDP or related safety certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a centralized training records system and compliance documentation.
• Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and recommend solutions.
• Build and maintain an organization-wide training calendar and coordinate internal and external programs.
• Implement and manage training tracking processes, starting with Excel and moving to a training management system.
• Deliver select in-house trainings (e.g., First Aid/CPR) and coordinate external experts for specialized topics.
• Coordinate and improve onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
• Support managers in developing structured learning programs and curriculum.
