Job summary

The Learning and Development Manager at San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living will lead an organization-wide L&D function within the HR department, developing strategic learning programs to strengthen leadership, regulatory readiness, performance, and engagement.

You'll design, facilitate, and measure programs across instructor-led, virtual, blended, and e-learning formats, manage the LMS, and partner with leaders to create onboarding and succession plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, Instructional Design, or related field.
• 7+ years in learning and development or related roles, including leading significant programs.
• Experience designing and facilitating learning for adult employees and managers.
• Experience partnering with leaders to assess needs and implement organization-wide learning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive, organization-wide learning and development strategy.
• Conduct organization-wide and department-level training needs assessments using data, compliance, employee feedback, leadership input, and trends.
• Design, develop, facilitate, and improve instructor-led, virtual, blended, and e-learning programs.
• Lead leadership and management development programs including supervisory training and coaching skills.
• Partner with HR and operational leaders to support talent development, career pathways, succession planning, and workforce capability planning.
• Establish and maintain an annual learning calendar and governance process.
• Oversee learning management systems, including course assignments, completion tracking, reporting, content governance, user experience, and data integrity.
• Coordinate with subject-matter experts to track required training and education in healthcare environments.
• Collaborate with department heads to create onboarding and new-hire learning frameworks.
• Develop learning metrics and dashboards; evaluate participation, knowledge transfer, and organizational impact.
