Job summary

Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis LLC (MD&A) in New York, NY, seeks a Senior Learning & Development professional to shape and execute our organization-wide learning strategy. You will lead content creation, onboarding, and leadership programs while partnering with business leaders to close skill gaps.

You will own the LMS, measure program impact, and collaborate with SMEs to deliver impactful, scalable training across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 6+ years of progressive experience in learning and development
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, facilitation methods, and learning program management
• Experience administering or owning a learning management system (LMS)
• Ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and guide the work of team members
• Experience partnering with business leaders to identify skill gaps and build learning solutions
• Ability to coach, develop, and influence others
• Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to analyze learning data, interpret trends, and translate insights into action
• Strategic thinking to align development initiatives with business needs

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization’s learning and development strategy aligned with business priorities and workforce capability needs
• Co-create learning solutions with internal customers
• Design, curate, and improve onboarding, technical training, leadership development, and professional skills programs
• Help execute employee, manager, and leadership development initiatives to strengthen capability and career growth
• Manage learning policies, programs, and systems including instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning experiences
• Aid with training delivery, facilitation, and ensure high-quality learner experiences
• Select and optimize learning methods, technologies, and tools based on audience needs
• Own the learning management system (LMS) including administration, content organization, learner assignments, reporting, governance, and user support
• Manage external learning partners, contract instructors, and internal subject-matter experts
• Measure learning effectiveness through participation, completion, knowledge transfer, learner feedback, and business impact metrics
