Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Learning Developer to join our team in Indianapolis. The role focuses on instructional design, interactive e-learning development, and translating technical content into engaging, compliant learning solutions. Onsite is preferred on a hybrid schedule, or remote.

You will design digital learning assets, apply ADDIE, ensure QMS and regulatory alignment, and collaborate across PMs, SMEs, and designers to deliver high-quality modules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design or related field.
• 4 years in training development or instructional design.
• Proficiency with e-learning tools: Storyline, Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, Powtoon.
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory and ADDIE.
• Experience in regulated industries with QMS knowledge.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a Learning Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in instructional design, interactive e-learning development, and adult learning application and a proven ability to translate complex technical content into engaging, compliant learning solutions. Onsite preferred on a hybrid schedule or remote. Standard hours 8 AM to 5 PM EST.

Responsibilities:

• Design, produce, and update digital learning assets, e-learning modules, micro-learning, and media for online, vILT, and blended environments.
• Apply adult learning theory and ADDIE to convert technical and product specifications into clear instructional materials.
• Ensure adherence to T&D content standards and Quality Management System requirements, including branding, legal, grammar, and U.S. regulatory alignment.
• Partner with Project Managers, Trainer/Designers, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to gather inputs, script content, and refine deliverables.
• Develop interactive media using rapid authoring tools and support publishing within the learning platform infrastructure.
• Manage a complex multi-project portfolio under minimal supervision while meeting quality and timeline expectations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, scientific/technical field, business, or related area.
• 4 years in training development, instructional design, or interactive digital content creation.
• Proficiency with e-learning tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Powtoon, and audio/video editing software.
• Solid understanding of adult learning theory, ADDIE, and curriculum alignment.
• Experience in regulated industries with knowledge of QMS, document control, and ISO standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication with instructional editing capability and SME collaboration.
• Demonstrated autonomy, problem-solving, and multi-project management in agile environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting product launches in diagnostics, IVD, healthcare, or medical devices.
• Familiarity with emerging AI features in learning content development.
