Job summary

Utah Transit Authority is seeking a Learning & Communication Intern to support leadership development, internal communications, and employee learning. The role focuses on creating content for Workvivo, coordinating learning sessions, and assisting with logistics from planning through delivery.

Ideal for students in learning & development, HR, communication, marketing, education, or business who want portfolio-ready work in a large organization.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a relevant degree.
• Transcript of grades and two letters of recommendation; GPA 3.0+.
• Valid Utah driver’s license with limited moving violations in last 3–10 years.

Responsibilities

• Create, schedule, and maintain internal posts and announcements on Workvivo.
• Develop engaging content for leadership development programs and learning opportunities.
• Resolve learner questions and facilitate participant communications.
• Manage Outlook calendars for development sessions and meetings.
• Prepare and send reminder emails and invitations.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for sessions and programs.
• Assist with rosters, registrations, attendance, and participant communications.
• Prepare course materials and session handouts.
• Assist with room setup, supplies, A/V, and tech checks.
• Provide day-of support to ensure smooth learning sessions.
• Troubleshoot virtual sessions (Zoom/Teams) and links.
• General administrative support for the Leadership Development team.
• Participate in team meetings and project work.
• Assist with other Leadership Development projects as needed.
