Job summary

Utah Transit Authority is seeking an Instructional Design Intern in Salt Lake City for hands-on experience in design, curriculum development, and e-learning. You will work with instructional designers, trainers, and subject matter experts to create training content and assessments that support employees across UTA.

This is a great portfolio-building and skill-developing opportunity. The internship is part-time (up to 29 hours/week) for 6 months, with possible extension up to a year.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Junior or Senior student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, or related field.
• Submit transcript of grades and two letters of recommendation; minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Valid Utah driver's license with limited moving violations in 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Support curriculum development, instructional design, and Workforce Technical Training processes.
• Review, develop, design, and revise training courses and materials.
• Assist in implementing standardized curriculum, training management, and process compliance.
• Create training content, learning activities, and assessments including e-learning.
• Apply instructional design best practices and adult learning principles.
• Assist with LMS administration and training record support.
• Coordinate with trainers and SMEs to support development activities.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborative project work.
• Maintain instructional materials, job aids, and presentations.
• Support QA and review of training materials for accuracy and usability.
