Job summary

South Texas College is seeking a Technology Specialist for the Learning Commons and Open Labs. The role supports students, monitors lab facilities, and ensures a professional learning environment.

You will collaborate with supervisors to upgrade software/hardware and generate attendance reports. The position requires at least an Associate's Degree and relevant lab experience; familiarity with Autodesk, Creative Cloud, and MS Office is valued.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a computer lab or related area preferred.
• Experience in an educational setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in using multimedia equipment and software.
• Provide and promote excellent customer service.
• Assist with user ID and password resets.
• Oversee Learning Commons and Open Labs operations.
• Report equipment issues to Director or designee.
• Develop training materials for staff.
• Prepare weekly and monthly lab attendance reports.
