Job summary

Tarrant County College is seeking a Specialist II, Learning Commons - ScienceCenter for the Trinity River Campus. The role provides front-line service in the Learning Commons and cross-trains across clerical, library, and tutoring duties.

The position requires an associates degree or 60 college hours with one year of related experience; science coursework is preferred and tutoring experience is a plus. This is a FT regular role with monthly pay and no remote eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 60 college hours and 1 year of related experience.
• Coursework in Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, Physics, or Geology is preferred.
• Science-related degree and tutoring/teaching experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line customer service to students, employees, and the public.
• Assist with clerical, learning lab, library, and other professional duties.
• Manage front desk operations, scheduling, calendar management, and communications.
• Support library functions, tech assistance, and resource guidance for patrons.
• Deliver tutoring and academic coaching in collaboration with faculty and supervisors.
• Assist with maker space equipment maintenance and program support.
• Participate in special events and workshops to support classes.
• Adhere to service excellence and safety policies.
