Job summary

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is seeking a part-time Library Assistant for the Applied Technology Center in Reno, NV. The role supports the Learning Commons with customer service, circulation, tours, and tutoring liaison.

The position is up to 19.5 hours per week, temporary, with a typical schedule Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Salary is $15 per hour, with benefits for part-time faculty as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of clerical experience OR an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for the Learning Commons, providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and visitors.
• Check in/out books/materials, collection management, library tours, information sessions, research assistance, book scanning, and tutoring liaison.
• Accurately manage a budget; purchasing materials and supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with faculty and students on Student IDs, exams proctoring, answering phones, directions, and handling mail/packages.
